Although the penetration of Internet enabled smartphones and 3G connected tablets is growing fast, adoption is not uniform across the population, and in any case the utility of a large screen for easy and efficient access to online content and services shouldn’t be underestimated. This is especially evident in a range of customer self-service scenarios, where well designed applications coupled with a large touch screen interface can deliver great outcomes.
The WA Police and Nurses Mutual Banking has installed the latest version of self-service interactive terminals from PieNetworks, which feature a large touch screen interface which delivers sales and marketing messages and is used by customers to transact, and a handset telephone (webphone). The initiative provides customers in the Innaloo, Perth and Fremantle branches not only with a latest generation self-service terminal for convenient and easy access to the Police & Nurses website, but also enables online banking transactions to check account balances, transfer funds, submit online applications and pay bills. Members can also use the webphone to speak with Member Services Consultants for support with specialist queries.
The terminals are fully managed and supported by PieNetworks via their remote management systems. In addition Pie’s customer call centre and network operations centre provide the peace of mind for the Police and Nurses Mutual banking that their customers will be fully supported.
